William Heitzman

William Heitzman was a punk musician who went by the name Billy Balls. Billy played piano and sang. He grew up in Red Bank, New Jersey. He met his  partner, model Rebecca Wright, in  fall of 1977 in New York City. They lived together in the East Village until his death. In summer 1982, Billy was shot in his storefront apartment by an unknown person. He lived for ten days before dying.
