Ronald William Shurtleff was born on July 13, 1954 in Massachusetts to Ronald Edward Shurtleff and a mother not known to this author. Ronald had four siblings.
Ronald was a patrilineal descendant of William Shurtleff, an early member of the Plymouth Colony.
