Peter Bradley Price was born on April 21, 1928 in New York, the son of John Marshall Price and Marian (Molly) Bradley Price, who married on June 21, 1926.
His father worked as a cable editor for The New York Herald Tribune from 1926 to 1965. Marian was an accomplished woman who founded the Rockland chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and was the American Labor Candidate for the State Senate in 1944. She was also a horticultural expert, authoring a book on the Iris flower in 1966 and wrote various articles for the New York Times.
Peter had two siblings, a brother John Marshal Jr. and sister Emily Rawlings. Emily would go on to become a psychotherapist and specialist in childhood development, and John a medical doctor.
Peter graduated from Congers High School in 1945 and was living in Manhattan in the 1980s.
He passed away on April 25, 2002, in New York, at the age of 74 and is buried on Hart’s Island.
