Pauline Darcy was born January 6, 1923 to Isidore & Fannie (Gold) Resnicow. Pauline was a first generation American, as her father and one older brother were born in Russia. Her mother was born in Poland. Her parents emigrated to the US in March 1913 on the vessel California. Pauline had two older brothers, Leon (b. 1911), and Herbert (b. 1921). Pauline lived her entire life in New York, mainly in the Manhattan & Bronx boroughs. She passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 90 years old at St. Barnabas Hospital, New York.
Pauline’s father was a grocer in the dairy industry and owned his own store. Her brother, Herbert, was a mystery writer.
No records at this time can be found (at this time) of her marriage, but she was still living at home on the 1940 Census.
