Paul Rieser was born on April 30, 1901 in Hanover, Germany.
At the beginning of World War II, he was employed at the Economy Sandwich Shop at 1160 Broadway in New York City. He was living at "268 Bowery", a five-story building with a facade of yellow sandstone. Paul was described as 5'3" tall, weighed 145 pounds, with blue eyes, blonde/gray hair, and a light complexion.
Paul's last residence was in Far Rockaway, Queens. He died on August 17, 1981, at New York City Health and Hospitals/ Elmhurst. He was buried October 1, 1981 on Hart Island.
