Minnie Aronowitz (Menuche Krietstein) was born in Biała, Poland (then Russia) on or about 1886.  Leaving from the port of Rotterdam in 1911, Minnie traveled with her three year old daughter, Celia (Cirl) aboard the S.S. Potsdam bound for New York.  Husband, Aaron, had left for New York the year before in order to find work before the family joined him.

The Aronowitz family initially settled in Manhattan but had moved to the Bronx by 1920 where Aron worked in the garment industry. A second child, John Philip (Fishel) was born in 1918.

The family again relocated and set up home in Franklin Township, New Jersey where Aaron was promoted to foreman in another garment factory.  Sadly, Aaron died in May of 1941 at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan.  He is interred at Mount Judah Cemetery in Queens, New York.

Minnie Aronowitz died on the 16th of February 1982 at the New York Community Hospital and was buried on Hart Island on the 28th of November 1984.
