Mallio Ferrell should be corrected to Mollie Ferrell. She was born Mollie Barnes on June 24, 1918 at Newnan, Georgia, the daughter of Richard and Bessie (Stroger) Barnes. She had at least two siblings, Walter and Lucille. Her father Richard supported the family by farming in Coweta County, Georgia.
Sometime prior to 1940 Mollie married Festus Ferrell, the son of Blount and Mary Eliza Ferrell. The couple made their home in Newnan, Georgia. Festus was employed as a laborer at the Newnan Cotton Mills.
By 1950 Mollie and Festus were living at 237 148th Street West Apt. 14 in Manhattan, New York. Mollie worked as a press operator in a "sequence factory", and Festus was employed as a clothes salesman for a retail clothier. Mollie lived at the same address at least through 1960.
Festus had served as a Private in the Quartermaster Corps during World War II. He died on February 21, 1959, and was buried in the Long Island National Cemetery. The burial records specified "widow to be interred in same grave."
Mollie Barnes Ferrell died December 31, 1989, and was buried February 16, 1990 on Hart Island, rather than with her husband.
