On December 4, 2001, an unknown black male between 60 and 70 years old went into cardiac arrest on the Southbound A train at the 59th Street/Columbus Circle Station. He was pronounced deceased at Mount Sinai West/Roosevelt Hospital.
The unidentified man was believed to be unhoused, and he had brown eyes and curly gray/black hair with male pattern baldness. He also had a gray mustache and gray beard stubble. He was 5' 8"(68 inches) tall and weighed 143lbs, and it was noted that he had a 1/2" scar on his left hip.
The man was found wearing two tan corduroy jackets; a gray t-shirt; a blue "Nike" t-shirt; a white T-shirt with a "Puerto Rico" emblem; blue jeans; a brown belt; a blue denim shirt; a pullover short sleeved blue jacket; a green vest; black socks; and black shoes.
