Kimball Cooper Gitterman was born on July 20th, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri. Kimball's paternal grandparents were natives of Germany.
Kimball was raised in Floral Park, NY and attended Sewanhaka High School where he was Vice-President of the Spanish Club and member of the Glee Club and Dramatics Club. In 1937, he acted in the high school's senior production of "Big Hearted Herbert," which had premiered on Broadway several years prior.
Following high school, he worked as a nurse, including at Manhattan State Hospital.
He passed away in Manhattan on June 17th, 1980.
