John Kriwer

John Michael Kriwer was the son of Annemarie Hubbell and Robert Erich Kriwer Sr. His father was born in Munich, Germany, and served as a Captain in the US Army during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Robert Eric Kriwer Jr. John died at the Horizon Care Center in Queens.

John graduated from McCaskey High School. His 1956 yearbook superlatives describe "Speak-for-yourself John" as a nice fellow who was "crazy" about basketball and motorcycles. He also played soccer and football, and was in the Study Club. 

John later attended Millersville State College, where he studied Geography and played football and intramural sports. He was a United States Merchant Marine.
