Homer Reuss Bowman was born April 18, 1900, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was the son of Homer Preston and Anna Martha Bowman. He attended Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Ohio. The 1900 census lists him as living with both parents, in 1910 and 1920 he was living with his father and his grandmother, Sarah E. Bowman.
In 1931 Homer was recorded as traveling from Cherbourg, France to New York, New York on the S.S. Albert Ballin. He gave his home address as Chicago, Illinois. The 1930 Federal Census records him as single, working as a railroad clerk. In 1940 he was still single, working in a restaurant in Chicago as a pot washer.
Homer Bowman died March 18, 1983 in New York. His last address was in Suffolk, New York.
