Gladys Gumbinner
The former Gladys Seldner was born June 24, 1893, in New York, the daughter of Adolph Seldner and Rose Strauss.
She had two brothers and four sisters.
Gladys attended Barnard College, graduating in 1914 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
On August 8, 1918, she married Richard Gumbinner in Yonkers, New York.
They had two sons, Robert and John (Jack).
Richard was an entrepreneur, starting a hosiery business and later a flower shop, where Gladys worked in the 1940s.
They moved to Florida in the 1950s.
Richard died in 1967, Jack died in 1970, and Robert in 2018. They are buried at Mount Zion Cemetery in Maspeth, New York.
Gladys died in Yonkers in January of 1977.
