Geraldine Wallis

I believe that this is Geraldine McDonald Wallis, alias HOPE CAMPBELL, an author of young people's novels such as "Why Not Join the Giraffes?" and "Meanwhile, Back at the Castle." She also wrote some science fiction ("Legend of Lost Earth"), and her profile at the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction (www.sf-encyclopedia.com/ entry/wallis_g_mcdonald) puts her birth date as June 17, 1925. This birth date is shared by a Geraldine Wallis who, according to the U.S. Social Security Death Index, died 5/20/2011 (https://familysearch.org/ark: /61903/1:1:JK4M-JZX), like the Geraldine Wallis listed here.

I was friends with one of Ms. Wallis' sons in the 1970s and '80s.
