George E. Hagen was born June 24, 1920, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Harry and Elizabeth (Joyce) Hagen. George enlisted in the New York National Guard on October 24, 1939. At that time he was living in Richmond Hill, Long Island. He was attached to the Battery F, 245th Coast Artillery, with Searchlight Battery. He was demobilized on December 8, 1945, after the conclusion of WWII.
George Hagen died June 27, 2004, at the age of 84, at Peninsula Hospital Center, and was buried on Hart Island.
