Frank Adams Scudder was born on August 25, 1899, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Frank and Emma E. Scudder. He had three younger siblings: sisters Marion and Ethel, and brother James. Their father, Frank Sr., was a wholesale produce dealer.
When Frank Jr. registered for the draft during WWI, he was a nineteen year old stenographer, working for the Grain Products Sales Company. He was of medium height, slender built, with blue eyes and brown hair.
From at least 1930 to 1940 Frank Jr. was a self-employed feed and grain broker. At the age of 40 he was still single, living on Montgomery Street in Brooklyn; and from at least 1957-1960 he lived at 24 Stone Street in Manhattan.
Frank Adams Scudder died April 25, 1997, at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, and was buried on Hart Island.
