Ernest Heeb was born November 28, 1901, in Gois, Switzerland, the son of John Heeb. Ernest came to the United States in July of 1929 on the S.S. Leviathan, traveling from Cherbourg, France to New York City. At that time he stated that he was able to read and write three languages: German, English and Italian. He was described as being 5'6" tall, with blue eyes, brown hair, and a fair complexion.
In 1930 Ernest was a lodger living at 522 W. 145th Street in Manhattan. He was single, and worked as a clerk in a jewelry store.
Ernest's last residence was in Jamaica, Queens.
Ernest Heeb died November 2, 1984 at NY Health and Hospitals/Queens. He was buried December 18, 1984 on Hart Island.
