Daniel Kelly McGowan was born April 8th, 1910 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His parents were John Augustine McGowan and Susan Agnes McGowan (born Kelley). By 1940, he lived with his parents at 174 Slade Street in Belmont, Massachusetts. He signed up for a one-year enlistment in the U.S. Army on September 27, 1940 as a private in the Medical Department in Boston. He renlisted on June 11, 1942 at Fort Jay on Governors Island in New York. He died April 5th, 1980.
