Audrey was a resident of 59 Pineapple street in Brooklyn Heights for at least 30 years. Married name was Levine. Two children named Lauren and Lawrence. Lauren was notified of her Mothers death, Larry was not. She was estranged from both of her children. Her daughter and I spoke when Audrey was hospitalized. She wanted nothing to do with her Mothers life or subsequent death. Estrangement had gone on for over 40 years..Audrey was destitute at the time of her death and abandoned by her children. At one time she had many friends and visitors to her home and hosted many parties there during her working years. She was fun, witty, and generous when she had it to be generous with. The majority of her close friends had pre deceased her. I met her in the building thru other neighbors and she was my friend and good neighbor for over 30 years. I can only hope and pray that she is resting in peace.
