Annette Marie Capers was born on April 12, 1958 in Lamar, South Carolina to the late Charles and Queen Capers. She was the fourth born of nine children. Annette attended Benjamin Franklin High School in the early 1970's. She married Vernon Parham Sr. and from their union came their three sons: Vernon Jr, Ronnell and Donnell. Annette worked in the garment industry in the early 1980's. She was a member at Spiritual Life Fellowship church in Brooklyn, where she served under pastor David Paul. During her membership she served on the usher board ministry and sang on the choir. Annette became ill before becoming a resident at The Hebrew Home at Riverdale where she spent her last ill days, until the Lord called her home.
Annette is preceded in death by her father Charles Capers, her mother Queen Capers, brother Heyward Capers, and sister Ernestine Jenkins.
She leaves to cherish her sons Vernon(Jade) Parham Jr.; Ronnell(Lisa) Capers and Donnell Capers; brothers Charles Capers Jr. ,Hayes Capers, Leroy(Saundra) Capers and Edward Capers; sisters Delores Capers-Harper, Linda (Rodney) Scott; 8 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
