Albert Johannes Christensen was born in Skive, Denmark on the 11th of June 1898 and baptised on the 7th of August.  Skive is a scenic town in northwest Denmark that sits beside Skive Fjord, a popular and challenging fjord for sailors and windsurfers.

Albert was one of eight siblings born to Jens Christensen and Kristiane Nielson.  The others were: Hans Manfred, Marie Emilie, Johanne Magda, Jens Tary, Anna Marie, and Esther Irene.  Albert's mother, Kristiane, died sometime between 1908 and 1916.

Albert shipped as a crewmember with the Hellig Olav from Denmark and arrived in New York in July 1923.  When 25 years old, he declared his intention for citizenship where he is described a being a Seaman, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

1942, When Albert registers for the WWII draft, it appears that he may have given up the life of a mariner and is employed with Chevrolet, although what his profession is, is not noted.

Albert Johannes Christensen died at Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens on the 10th of February 1981 and was buried on Hart Island on the 17th of March 1981.
